ABOUT US
History
Opened in 1973 as the Sumter County Career Center, enrollment began with 200 students. The Sumter Career and Technology Center (SCTC) provides mechanical, technical and medical training; originally offering ten programs of study. The SCTC serves the three high schools in Sumter School District offering instruction in skilled trades such as aerospace engineering, cosmetology, health science, automotive trades, etc. There are 16 programs of study and approximately 400 students currently enrolled.
